I started Shannon's K9s after a lifelong of understanding and working with animals. Seven years later, I'm happy to say that I wake up in the morning loving what I do.
Here at Shannon's K9s, we are a team of well-trained and ever-learning professionals who are constant students on the trail.
Through my studies I have come to understand that just like us, dogs need certain things in order to be a well-rounded, happy, city-dwelling dogs.
One of the most valuable lessons, which I have learned, is that in addition to the warmth and comfort we provide to our dogs, it is essential to address their most basic and emotional requirements. By activating their seeking-drive and allowing them to socialize within a pack, their needs are met while having fun.
Here are a few benefits that your dog will get from hiking in our pack:
1) Relief from anxiety
2) Learning social cues and boundaries within the pack
3) They get to RUN
4) They make new friends
5) Builds confidence
6) Bully dogs learn that playing nice can be fun!
7) They stay fit and healthy
8) They're more attentive to commands after the excess energy is expended
9)They will be tired when they get home and you will be happier
10) They have a GREAT time!
There is not enough time in my day to fully communicate what Shannon and her team mean to our family! Our 70-lb. dog, Arthur, has been hiking with Shannon, since he was four months old (he's a year and eight months now) and still to this day goes five days a week. The hikes and the walks and the housesitting Shannon provides for us are invaluable in and of themselves. But what really is the MOST valuable, is the piece of mind afforded to us when we can't be with Arthur, and we know he is with Shannon and as happy (if not happier) as he is when he is with us. Shannon's passion for life and for her work, combined with her huge heart and trustworthiness, make her the best person you could ever hope to have care for your dog.
Shannon's k9s has been the best thing that ever happened to me and my dog Romeo. She loves him so much and I trust her to take as good care of Romeo as I do when I'm working. He loves her in turn and also loves all the dogs he hikes with in Shannon's K9 hiking group. Shannon is a tremendous asset to the LA dog industry and goes above and beyond to make sure your dog is loved, safe and adored. The highest of recommendations for Shannon.
